Registering a vehicle takes several steps. Here we generate the main request to DRPCIV (Police).

Documents you will need at the end:

  • Registration request (generated here)
  • Registration form endorsed by the tax authority (DITL)
  • The vehicle identity card (CIV), original and copy
  • Transfer-acquisition contract
  • Proof of a valid ITP (roadworthiness test)
  • Proof of valid RCA (third-party liability) insurance (in the new owner's name)
  • Old registration number plates (if they change)
  • Receipt for the registration certificate (49 RON ≈ €9.16)
  • Identity document, original and copy
